Why Psychotherapy?

Common situations for which psychotherapy can be helpful are:

  • Feelings of sadness, anger or worry that dominate one’s experience

  • Persistent negative thoughts about oneself

  • Distressing or unsatisfying interpersonal relationships

  • Sense of untapped potential in work or creative endeavors

  • Distressing life events (losses, role changes, injuries, illness)

  • Procrastination

  • Feelings of emptiness or dissatisfaction

Most people experience relief, renewed hope, and even a sense

of excitement when they begin to engage in a meaningful psychotherapy.
